Happy Mother’s Day!

If you ask me, every day is a Mother’s day. But for the sake of whoever created this, let me wish you (mothers) Happy Mother’s Day!!

“Youth fades; love droops; the leaves of friendship fall; A mother’s secret hope outlives them all.” – Oliver Wendell Holmes

I have the best mom in the world. No, let me rephrase that. I have the best mom in the whole universe. That is still not enough but let me leave it at that for the time being. I am sure that every child has the same opinion as me about their mother. They should!

As long as I can remember, she has always been there for me and supported me in many countless events. She had sacrificed so much for us and still, she is willing to do more. A mother always feels, at any given time, that she needs to do more for her children. She will never accept that she had done enough. She will always find a way to do more for her children. This thirst she has is unquenchable! She never gets tired of helping us out. No wonder why people call mother’s love unconditional!

Though we children sometimes lose hope over life, she is always full of optimism and hopes regarding us and our lives.

People sometimes forget the fact that they do not even exist without a mother. Forgetting this important fact, they abuse their mothers in ways unimaginable to us. There are people out there in the big dark world who are willing to sell their poor mothers in order to fill their stomach with food. They do not know that the food they acquire in this way is not going to do any good to them at all. I really hope they will start respecting their mothers like they should have a very long time ago. Better late than never!

It is from her that we learn the true meaning of love. If not for her, we would not have known what kindness, hope and trust are. The love you feel towards your family and friends took its’ form from the love you received from your mother. Some might think that our first teachers are those that we meet at school but that is not true. The first and best teacher has always been a mother. She prepares us by providing whatever things we need to survive in this world. She is the best there is and you will never find one better than her!

I am aware of the fact that not everyone is lucky enough to have a mother. Let us take a moment and pray for them. We (those with mothers) should consider ourselves lucky for having one 🙂
